Description Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club is a gated 650-acre private golf community in a protected microclimate within the Blue Ridge Mountains. A championship golf course by architect Bob Cupp is the centerpiece of Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club. On a high knoll overlooking the course, lakes and mountains, the stone and timber clubhouse offers dining, lounge and golf shop.
The mature and tournament-tested Cummings Cove golf Course earned a coveted “Best Renovation of the Year” award for 2006. Its features include hardwood and evergreen treelines, lakes, streams, waterfalls and see-forever views. The routing of this 6,415-yard, par-71 layout offers three sharply designed par-3s on the back nine—one that virtually hangs from a cliff. And like Baltusrol, home of the PGA Championship, the course finishes with back-to-back par 5’s.
Mountain Comfort with a New Shine Activities include holiday parties, dances, bridge and golf tournaments. Private parties and receptions may also be scheduled. Although Cummings Cove is a private club, visiting golfers are welcome.
The community’s new sports complex with fitness center, tennis, pool, and hot-tub spa affords beautiful mountain views. The high quality of the tennis and fitness facilities has generated rave reviews. The club’s hot tub-spa opens in April, and its heated swimming pool is available for use starting in May. A charming renovated farmhouse with rocking chair porch overlooking pond and mountain views was transformed into the new Social Center. One room was fitted with bookcases to serve as a Library with a growing collection of books and games for members to borrow and enjoy. Meeting and card rooms complete the space.

About the Area Cummings Cove is located near the center of a triangle formed by three cities—Hendersonville, Asheville and Brevard. Each of these nearby cities has a distinctive personality and charm that lends great variety to the range of things to see and do outside the gates of Cummings Cove.
Just minutes away by car are the fine restaurants and art galleries of downtown Hendersonville, the Flat Rock Playhouse—North Carolina’s State Theater—or the Brevard Music Center, whose stage attracts internationally renowned performers.
