Heritage Shores is an active-adult community with its own Arthur Hills-designed championship golf course, a 28,000-square-foot clubhouse and a full-scale fitness and aquatic center. Residents sail, cruise and fish on the nearby Atlantic and Chesapeake Bay.

Designed by a leading American golf architect, Arthur Hills, the Heritage Shores golf course stretches 7,005 yards from the back tees. It’s a links-style design with water flanking a majority of the holes to provide a challenging yet playable round.

An excellent club-golf experience has been carefully designed and made easily affordable. The club’s resident annual golf membership carries a modest initiation fee and just $225 a month in dues for a couple. This includes unlimited play and practice.

Featuring one of Southern Delaware’s practice facilities, Heritage Shores Club provides over two acres of open ground equipped with grass tee stations, three putting greens with practice bunkers and chipping areas and grass-like driving range mats.

About the Area
Heritage Shores is ideally located between the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay, a half hour from Rehoboth Beach. It is less than 90 minutes from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, two hours from the attractions of Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia.

Southern Delaware attractions include historic seaside and riverside villages, once home to shipbuilding communities of years gone by. There are quiet beaches, renowned restaurants and tax-free shopping in fine boutiques, antique shops and outlet centers.

This region is home to a great variety of bird life. The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge features 21,000 acres of marshland and is a major stopping point for wintering waterfowl traveling the Atlantic flyway.  It’s a prime place to spot bald eagles. 

Cultural experiences are many, from a summer arts festival to a winery, art galleries, dinner theater, historic train rides and outdoor performances by the ocean. Southern Delaware also has numerous museums rich with American and maritime history.

• Take Route 113 North toward Dover, DE
• Turn left onto Route 404 in Georgetown
• Follow 404 to intersection of Route 13
• Turn left on Route 13 South
• Proceed one half-mile, look for Heritage Shores entrance on right

From Philadelphia:

• Take I-95 South to Route 1 South toward Dover, DE
• Turn onto Route 13 South/Bridgeville
• font size="2">Proceed 1.5 miles past the Route 404 exit, look for Heritage Shores entrance on right

From Baltimore/Washington, DC:

• Take I-695 to Route 10 South
• Proceed to Route 2 South and follow it to Route 50 East
• Cross over the Bay Bridge
• Continue on Route 50 past the Queenstown Outlets toward Easton and Cambridge
• Turn left on Route 404 East to Route 13 South
• Proceed 1.5 miles, look for Heritage Shores entrance on the right 

From Lewes Ferry:

• Head southeast on Henlopen Court
  Turn left onto N. Atlantic Drive, then a quick left onto Savannah Rd/US 9
• Proceed to the circle
• Take first exit off circle onto North Bedford St/DE-18/DE 404/Seashore Hwy
• Continue on DE 404 for approximately 12 miles
• Turn left onto Route 13
• Proceed 1.5 miles, look for Heritage Shores entrance on the right
