Thank you for so many ideas on golf course communities to visit as we searched for our next nest ! We had resided on Sanibel Island, Fl's Dunes Golf Course until Aug. 24, 2005 before traveling around the nation after selling our home. Next week we close on our new golf front home at The Mission Inn, in Howey in the Hills, Florida. They have two Championship course and plenty of room for more homes!
 
Thru your suggestions we have stayed and played at courses from Alaska to Mexico, Hawaii to Hilton Head before we decided on Florida once again. We had become weary of constant travel and wanted a home base again, not that our travels will end but our van is running out of room for more golf and sporting equipment!
 
I would whole heartedly recommend your Web site for anyone considering a new location, try before you buy! We actually ruled out subdivisions because of the golf course conditions.  Good luck in continuing with your report on Golf Courses around the nation!

Thanks for removing me - I've found a retirement home! I purchased a Villa in Rarity Bay, Vonore, TN. It's waterfront with a dock, and while the Rarity Bay golf course is really great, I'm not a great golfer and am more interested in boating. Rarity Bay has some terrific golf course homes, mountain and lake view homes, and lake front homes--the views of the Smokies are terrific.
